There was a large lay off in Owensboro in March too. There will be more. They are dumping it.
It’s a terrible news for some. But there’s a logical reason from a business perspective. From what I’ve read in the past, AZ market has a great potential for growth. A chip manufacturer from South Korean recently announced that they plan to build a chip manufacturing in AZ and will invest $40 billion in the state.
Is that true ?they didn’t let go of the UB team in AZ but got rid of USBank team?
They’re keeping mortgage team from union bank in Arizona they inherited and letting go St. Louis team?

I am always nervous when I receive early morning meetings invite, not knowing if it’s to tell me I don’t have a job

My mom was one of them :( I’m so upset as this was a great job for her and she worked remote and it was the most positive job she’s had in year in the lending space. My aunt is still employing underwriting but I’m worried for her too also in STL and my moms best friend was also let go from the lending team :((
They will be more. They are missing the main problem - the top layers need to be assessed and downsized. The media should sn---h onto these heartless phone calls they do and give usb the press they deserve. They’ve been doing this for years now.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
