Who is CISO? Asking for a friend.
Ref: Whistle Blowers topic - Look at the press only on double digit growth for this org. and NOTHING about breach or RIFs? Its called paint a "happy path" before proxy statement due in April. Cover up is their specialty...

Where’re the whistle blowers? Silent even a hush hush breach happened. It feels like a third world enterprise… oh well Sir has experience in that too.
As in politics - when you kick the can down the road (after putting off work), you got to have a body in there right? If the top is doing due diligence to "clean up" will lead to too much "exposure" aka no "blame buffer" . This will for sure compromise the "safety" of their stock options/bonuses...

CISO was appointed by "someone" knowing the person has no credentials (CISSP, CCISO, CISUM etc.) nor experience/track record in what it takes as CISO. Why/how was chosen at this org? 1. Personal connection 2. Easy target to take the fall. The level above NEVER takes ownership much of anything except being awarded for job "well done" with more stock options/bonuses...
BTW, data breach in February not surprised...Who's fault? Lack of organization integration strategy and M&A due diligence. This is just the tip of the iceberg... As the old saying goes-
