Someone already asked what kind of severance was given but there was no answer. Anyone willing to share the details?

Wow! You guys got decent severance. Here in Tarboro, NC we got 2 paychecks and that was it. Didnt go by years of service or nothing.
My friend had 2 weeks of pay for every year they were with Corning. They were in PRC.
I confirmed with a reliable source and those at SP were given 2 weeks per year. However, there was a cap on the severance of 1 year. So, if someone had 30 years of service they would not get the full 60 weeks severence.
4 weeks/years of service is very generous. Was that at SP? That probably explains why so many people that I know took the voluntary lay-off. This makes sense if you are close to the end of your career.
No severence pay. at least for my department folks that were let go
I had three years of experience and twelve weeks of severence pay was given..4 weeks/years of service.
