The "my network is your network" posts on LinkedIn are nauseating. It's the new "thoughts and prayers".

As someone who was previously let go from a different company after 23 years, I can attest to this. I reached out to multiple former coworkers for leads or introductions, only to be ghosted. Only a handful actually tried to help.
