Is one side actually better than the other? I think it’s known that Optum has more layoffs and instability.

: @5cms+1mlb8Ptk- same no difference it’s all in the perception. UHG has been around longer.. Optum formed later. Things are changing if you have not been following the latest news on lawsuits, RIFs .. no one is immune from cost cutting .. you could run but you could not hide .. more RIF is coming May 4th..
I’ve worked for both sides…Optum sees more cost cutting pressures, but the pay is generally higher. Same leaders at the top, just a different culture. Optum looks for and rewards ingenuity and tends to promote faster while UHC prefers predefined roles and tends to expect longevity in a position / grade level. Same team, different uniform.
