Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Is this really happening next week?

Our RM isn’t talking about next week. We don’t have a Market Leader. Many staff members are gone next week - including SM - and there’s no one to replace her yet. I’ve heard the CM people don’t have equipment to work from home. We were already understaffed - but next week is going to be ridiculous!

It makes me wonder if this is really going forward next week, or if at the last minute they’ll decide to push it back to June or something. It just feels like we’re going over a cliff and no one in HO is talking about it!!!!

@lto+1mjefXyu my RM was a black hole long before this happened, and I'm in Canada. If it wasn't on fire he didn't care/reply. I couldn't imagine what it's like in the US right now. Good luck everyone.

It's happening for good or bad.
All the new remote positions will be required to keep working in stores to replace the eliminated positions.
The CM people, market leaders will be covering since nowhere near enough hires have been made. And are you sure you even have an RM next week? - lots of vacancies.

Even if they push it back alot of people have already found new jobs or have made plans. You don't wait until the last minute ( oh wait, Follett does ) to change the plans.

It is silent from above... Nobody will even answer legit questions. All my emails to my RM go into a black hole.
