Was ready to take the severance package and start another job but I have been retained and I think I’m going to see what the future holds… Cannot be any worse than Union Bank and sad “leadership”

Not only does your manager not know, they are likely on the layoffs list too. Hopefully TOS middle management is decimated, getting rid of the useless class in TOS.

All managers will know May 1 which employees are on the RIF list . It will be surprise even to your managers. Best part is your manager has zero say in this so all that brown nosing you did over the years isn’t going to help coz your manager maybe gone too. Play nice coz that peer that you pi---d off may become your manager.

Yes I was offered a new role and started earlier this month. It was a promotion. Still doing most of the old role too for another month or so.

Union Bank Staggered RIF based on department has started. Testing team and Tech would be last (Q3 of 2023) . They want work out of them till SD1and any fallout from SD1. Wondering if this staggered RIF is so that they do not exceed 500 employees per location resulting in a WARN notice to your state…hmmm
