Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Pretenders everywhere

How can you be motivated and work hard when the most mediocre, unproductive people here can easily take credit for your work?

By the way, new process is called CIRCUS and run by the clowns at the top.

Ford used to have a suggestion program in place, where an individual could submit an idea and upon review get acknowledgment and some monetary reward. Next Ford went to (I think it was called) CIRUS, where upon management's approval, ideas/suggestions could be worked on but was expected to be done as a team, not an individual, so "everyone gets a pony". Now the LL's just steal your pony. One more reason Ford is toxic and morale is so low.

LOL @1ekk
We had an IT problem tracking system where you were required to specify the root cause for the problem and the resolution. New LL5 requested a report on the problem causes and resolutions. 85% were caused by Weather and had a resolution of N/A. The dude blew a gasket and had the tracking system code changed to disallow those responses.
After that the people who were just closing problem tickets as caused by weather began to say all problems were IBM errors. LOL

@1fco+1mjAg7bV @Ford there is always an excuse, but no accountability. What's next? The sun was in their eyes?

Speaking of the mediocre, did any of you catch the question from the Model e engineer explaining how Model e moves fast while supporting organizations cannot keep up and are hindering Model e progress? That should be a real eye opener as to why Model e was not profitable for its first financial reporting.

This is the truth. It's sickening and Ford upper management doesn't just allow it, but encourages it.

@1xwc I feel your pain. Encountered the same. When I had enough I started leaving fake problem solutions in our team folder for the credit stealers to find ( where we were required to document reported problems and their solutions). Then I sat back and LMAO as the credit stealers presented solutions as their original work that did not solve problems but instead dug a deeper holes. And yes I found a better job — bu-bye Ford toxic culture

You toot your own ho-n! C’mon, in a corporate environment you have to brag about the work you do. When people know what you are working on, makes it difficult for others to take credit for your work.

@hct+1mjAg7bV I hear you. I had to explain a technical issue and the possible solutions to a bunch of LL6s and one LL5. Finally, IDK how, I was invited to a "big" meeting with the LL4, just to hear one of the "anointed" giving my explanation, almost word for word, to the crowd, and no reference to me, not even a mention of my name. It pi---d me off.

I didn't want a promotion. I am not a people's person, and I know leading people will get me in hot water really fast. I didn't want another raise, you know... who wants to make themselves a bigger target? However, I was proud of finding and fixing the issue. I wanted the recognition, just like hey, this guy is the sh-t! I got crickets instead.

Do you know what ended happening? I got tired of the Ford's cr-p, of all the dirty politics. The last straw was an LL6 saying his team knew their sh-t and didn't need my help, after his team asked for me to my manager. Next day, the GSRs contacted and asked me to help them behind their boss's back. This means I cannot charge my time to that team and justify the hours spent solving the issue. Also my name would not appear as the guy who did the job, so I don't get the recognition. I don't give it a fu-k anymore. Tomorrow I have a job interview.

I know - Happened to me recently. I'm now afraid to share a good idea - someone else with a 'team of slaves' will have it in front of the LL4 before I can get my lowly self into the forum, etc.
