Independent Testing specialist - IT&V

I've heard bad things about this dept. but I have an opportunity to get into this dept. as I'm currently unemployed and needing some income. What is the avg salary for the Independent Testing specialist role? I want to make sure they aren't going to lowball me.

If you need income, take the role. You can always keep looking. No one should judge someone for taking a less desirable role to tide them over. Most of us have been there.

IT&V basically hired tons of Internal Audit employees (many managers) who were trying to escape the dysfunctional schit show and have now brought it to IT&V.
I would never join that group.

Read this message very carefully...don't work in IT&V. Don't work here. Period. I know a couple of folks who started in IT&V towards end of last year and already handed in resignations.

The comment about developers is not true and obviously that person who made that comment doesn’t know what the IT&V role is.

There is no testing role in the current industry. Developers are taking care of testing.
