Next RSU vest in sept, is there any way to persuade the company to grant them or need to forfiet if listed for RIF in May ?

As others have said. Your RSUs are gone on your last day.
You will lose all unvested RSUs on your last day of employment. Pulling in vesting date to increase profit seems as bad as selling drives to Huawei.
