He probably had to let go of his huge ex-pat benefits and like so many others who then left the company. Maybe one of the last ones receiving it. Maybe not the main reason but I could imagine it.

Every quarterly dividend of 70 cents equals to 400k of dividend for Dave. 100% paycut is cheap. Just pay dividends.

On April 20, 2023, the Company announced that, in connection with the Plan, Jeffrey D. Nygaard, Executive Vice President of Operations and Technology,
will leave the Company effective May 1, 2023.
If true, this smells of an executive disagreement. My bet is that he wants to close Singapore and Moseley won't let him. Maybe he is also fed up with starving his operations by their love for the dividend.
