Thread regarding Riverbed Technology Inc. layoffs

Nepotism is out of control at Riverbed

I'm hoping to be laid off just to get away with something to show for it.

All of you that downvoted my last comment are complete id--ts. I hope you keep getting your boosters just to prove how virtuous you are.

Is it still controversial to say that the COVID vaccines didn’t work?? Is the moderator going to delete this comment as well??????

Not sure why the downvotes for previous comment. With little to no hiring during COVID, Riverbed didn’t need to lay people off. Bringing the sister company back into the fold effectively duplicated my team’s roles so we just trimmed the fat and more.

The rekindling with Aternity was effectively the layoff.

I was looking at it from a severance angle for a while... I'm not sure if the company would even be in a position to pay a healthy severance in the event of a layoff..

My productivity dropped like crazy and majority of the people were just collecting pay checks. It reached a point where my work didn't excite me anymore. I couldn't fathom that and moved on.

I really hope the company recovers and does well. But the zeal and the excitement is clearly lacking at the lower levels in the firm.

As long as people keep quitting, there won't be layoffs. You'll just be stuck doing ever more work in an ever bleaker atmosphere until either Riverbed collapses or you do.

The possibility of severance is the only thing still keeping me here.
