Do they do layoffs in group meetings or individual meetings? I’ve been invited to a meeting on Thursday with a big group of people and with all the rumors of layoffs being on Thursday I’m wondering if this is it?

We have a meeting at 12:30 as a team but it’s just the supervisor and the team but don’t know if there was a BCC on it with VP or not. I also know the manager is included in the meeting but they are always included in the meeting invites for ours but never show. It’s an hour long so I doubt this is it. Good luck and may the odds be in your favor
Look and see if a director or VP is in the meeting. If it’s just your direct supervisor you may be ok. They be notifying that lay offs are happening but it isn’t you
What time is the meeting? It may be to let you know layoffs have occurred but may not be you. The timing is the key. Early morning, not a good sign.
The email was sent out by a supervisor that just said team meeting I looked at the timeframe later on and its an hour long so that’s a good sign i think now. I don’t see any names I don’t recognize as well so that’s good too.
Most always individual unless the entire department is being let go.
Is the meeting run by HR? Is the title ambiguous?
