Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

U.S. Bank drives out employees

Is it usbanks intention to drive out really good talent? Because that is what I see everyday. Starting at the executive level, middle management and lower management, stop your ridiculous iron fist. Do better!!

It is not about hate, it is all about the numbers, people are just like any other asset or expense. Job security is your skills, not a company

If you leave, they don’t have to pay severance and unemployment benefits. They want you to quit.

Bank management hates happy employees. They do everything possible to ensure everyone is as miserable as they are. Management is extremely hateful.

When U.S. Bank raised the minimum pay to $20 an hour for the employees in the United States last Fall, the Elavon payments processing subsidiary moved 500 back office jobs to Poland, where the labor costs would be a fourth of that rate, laying off the skilled and experienced U.S. workers. The announcement to return to office during this time frame fell on deaf ears as the newly unemployed personnel have no office to return to. In my opinion, the bank leadership views competent and capable employees as an impairment to more revenue, whereas the bank's competitors leadership view their talented and skilled employees as assets to drive their company to more revenue, more growth bettering the company as a whole.

Honestly this may be what they want, as more-tenured employees cost more in salary, benefits, and retirement.

That’s why I left. So glad I did too. No regrets!
