Per the promise to the stock market when OpenText bought Micro Focus. 8% layoffs happening today in Micro Focus and OpenText.

It is a bloodbath. Horrible.
Was MF stack B, let go 4-19. Said my position was redundant. Was in sales for IDOL and LEMA.
Word from the inside (OT side) is that key personnel were terminated. This is to say people who were involved in critical/high profile projects. If this was indeed the case, then I'm curious to know if the selection process was handled by HR alone. This would indicate they were targeting high salaries in addition to poor performers.
Thoughts?
Anyone from MF can share more news on which products/parts were cut?
Confirmed: Layoffs continue to happen today 4/19.
Layoffs in former Micro Focus are in full swing. I've been told layoffs on both sides will be complete by Friday the 21st of April.
Confirmed, layoffs happened on the OpenText side as of 4/17.
Question is, are they continuing today? All week?
How do you know its both sides if you aren't saying what side your from? OT has begun. No idea bout MF side.

It doesn't matter. BOTH sides are executing 8% layoffs across the board.
On January 31st, during the "Day 1" company meeting, the CEO announced 8% cut to employment base within 90 days across the new collective company.
End of the month is 90 days.
