Looks like they're getting ready for contract negotiations again. Will you have to deploy from Dallas to all the other regions?
Are there any of you left?

I’m not going on assignment for a company that doesn’t give a damn about me. Sc--w ‘em.
Let them walk!
Do these all go out at once? That is, if I didn't receive a notification, does that mean I won't have a CP assignment for 2024?
I'm hoping that because I actually was one of those who hung out on my laptop in a work center in 2019 I don't have to go through this cycle.
“ As was previously stated SE district 3 went out with 100 percent participation and contingency workers hung out on their laptops doing their regular jobs at our work centers. No craft work was accomplished for 4 days. The newest prem techs were the most supportive and gung ho!”
That’s because they wouldn’t let us do anything. Not that we could have done much, but yeah, we just sat around because that’s all they would let us do. I heard some folks got dispatched out, but we weren’t allowed by the AM in charge of us. We even volunteered to pickup trash in the yard, clean vehicles or anything, but we’re denied doing that as well.
There's no need for a strike, craft is getting a large raise and a reduction in out of pocket health care to adjust for inflation. Any management duties not being performed will be assigned to craft employees as per CWA. Most union employees have better educations than management. Look at any grievance and it looks like management’s was written by a high school dropout. Thats why CWA wins again.
Last go around I had to purchase my own boots and my expense report got denied. The very next day I came down with a nasty stomach virus and had to stay home for 3 days.
"To make matters worse if you’re out in the field you have to purchase your own gear!!"
Things might have changed, but the last time I had to purchase any gear, AT&T paid for it. Or maybe people just assumed AT&T wouldn't and never asked. I just said" "great, so I use my P-card, right?", and they said "Yes".
I don’t see the company wanting a strike. They can’t afford the lost revenue, disconnects and lack of customer attention.
However, if there are strikes I could see JS digging in for the long haul and making it very painful for the union folks.

District 4/Midwest contract was extended until 2026.
I remember that strike, the contingency managers were very relieved when it ended and union employees came back to work. Most managers are supportive of the union members for a fair and reasonable agreement, we appreciate their skills and labor. We also realize by proxy it affects our work and benefit conditions too, even though recently the company has strayed away from past precedents.
Now there are large changes to benefits and working conditions for managers, It’s all due to financial difficulties and poor business decisions. Lower and middle management are now suffering the consequences for those decisions, there has been no accountability for those who underperformed in their leadership duties. Deja vu, feels like Enron, Worldcom, etc… Sad commentary on corporate governance!
CWA D3 contract is up for negotiations next year in August. 2019 contract negotiations the contract had expired and no movement so there was a short strike with nearly 100% participation. Dallas scrambled a new negotiation team to replace the one unwilling to negotiate with the union in good faith, the former team wanted takebacks, benefit reductions, large medical premium increase and changes in working conditions without any comprises (sound familiar managers). Contract was settled and voted for approval by union members shortly after the strike and actual good faith bargaining.
5th levels and above do not participate in contingency planning. To make matters worse if you’re out in the field you have to purchase your own gear!!
For the c-suite their lives are never disrupted.
Gimme the 5+5+5.
Can't wait! I hope it's going to be a good long strike. I can use the time off.
Such a colossal waste of time and resources, all the way around.
A voice of reason here.
cwa doesn't have the ba--s to go on strike or negotiate a fair contract. they just get on here and bi--h about "management."
No, we do not. We just view this website to see how AT&T is Fhucking over non bargained. And the the Fhucking AT&T is doing, it is legendary.

I love clowns like this…… knows everything but knows nothing…… couldn’t find a cross in a Catholic Church….. your up next chump
No you don't. You hate what "leadership" has done.
I get it. You are mad. You are worried about your job moving out from under you and you want to blame the Union. Guess what? When the company was doing well, a little Union surplus every quarter was business as usual. Now the Company is in real trouble and needs cut some real money and it doesn't matter what role you play . I don't like it, but I've saved money for when Stankey want's to get stupid.
I won't call you a Chump because I am just a Union dreg, manager.

At least you save. Most bargain employees don’t save and then can’t even afford to strike reason why there is very seldom a strike at all.
Even a 5 day strike will ruin the Contingency workforce, they don't save either.
Let us get this done.

I cannot wait. 6 months of bills in the bank. Go buy your boots, take your online courses, get ready to relocate for weeks, THE only time it will be on AT&Ts dime. Oh, no paid travel back home.. In for a dime, in for a Dollar.
Despair not, the Union Dregs have witnessed how AT&T has treated non bargained.
I will tell Peggy from finance the same as I did before, try not to Fhuck anything up, but if you do we will be back on overtime and then, double overtime. Same as it it always has been. We always get our money back after a strike.
The email listed them out for the next couple years, there was like 6 contracts.
Who's currently up for contract negotiations right now? What district ?
BAU. They go out every year.
