I care about getting severance and leaving Seagate behind. You can keep your bonus, just give me my severance. This place is toxic to the bone.

I worked before Maxtor before it was taken over by Seagate, and almost all lay-off. At that time I was busy writing my resume, and applying for jobs to be ready for the lay-off. I was also scared. But then I often heard the word "package" being discussed. I could not understand how people waste time thinking about the "package" or also called severance payment.
When I was lay-off Friday, I started following Monday the new job. I also found jobs for my co-workers. I later wrote a reference letter for my co-workers,with their "package" but without their job. And I got a lot of help. Asking for help, one finds out, helps, does not care or is in the way. I made new friends, and realized some friends are not friends. 15 years later, our kids are grown up and it all worked out so far. I am glad I found my friends at Maxtor this way. Engineers, Technicians, .... I don;t care anymore about a job title of someone.
