A response on Chicago. First, AT&T doesn’t own the building at Monroe & Franklin. It hasn’t for years.

Second, 6th level recommendations go to Stankey on June 15 or 16. Letters to those impacted go out on June 30.

Third, Chicago could — but it isn’t certain — be made a secondary hub. But it won’t prevent many from being forced to relocate or leave the company.

Fourth, those agreeing to relocate from Chicago (and elsewhere) will have to May/June of next year to go.

Fifth, there is no date, or even rumor of one, on when those who cannot relocate will be forced to quit.

Sixth, there is indeed a second wave, but it’s unknown to those below 6th levels when it will occur.

Sadly, all we now can do is wait for June 30.

t needs to sell the valuable real estate for a profit . move the work to one of the hubs and not allow people to follow the work. just that chicago has a very bad reputation in all phases when it comes to values and morals.

Chitown is now is 2nd waive with the creation of coe for ats org. Not sure if other orgs are also included in this coe. This us very poor execution of rto. Seems like stan ley sent his email prematurely. Maybe he was drinking and pressed send button by mistake.

AT&T owns two 10 story buildings across from each other at 510 Federal. Both have a double basement. One for local & one for long distance.
About 20 craft are in the local and 6 in the LD building. No parking but about one mile from the train stations with subway across the street. There are offices, desks, lunch-break rooms, and cafeteria areas. Safe until about 10pm.

The area of Chicago where the 60 story building is located in the south downtown loop area is not that safe. If I had to work there I would be a little worried when I left from work each day at 5 or 5:30 especially in the winter when it gets dark earlier!

I work in Chicago, in the dark behemoth bldg that has no windows on 18 floors. Think Cold War design. Currently, the bitter cold breeze is blowing north from Dallas! Alas, the once great city is indeed a crimehole. So mixed feelings on relocation. Shopping for cowboy boots.

It's not "forced to quit". You can't be "forced to quit". You will be involuntarily terminated because you cannot/ will not relocate.

The goal is to be less than 100K employees within 3 years. The non-prime HUB locations (everything except Dallas/Atlanta) will be phased out over the next 3 years to meet those HC requirements.

There will be another round of consolidations and associated layoffs. The secondary hub cities (those outside of Atlanta and Dallas) will be impacted. There is no firm date.

Because I won’t post rumors, I possess no facts beyond this.

On your 6th point, what do you mean by “second wave?”
