Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

RTO

My group was originally told that we would be RTO 5x per month and this would start in September.
We were just told we will report to a temporarily location (non hub city), 3x a week starting in July.

My director told me, all L2 and L3 that didn’t receive the RTO letter with instructions by June are at risk of layoff
If you didn’t receive the letter yet check with your director or the HR

All I know is another month and another bout of anxiety as people try to figure out if they will have a job when the dust settles.

Another post with no relevant details. I am always curious what a person like OP is thinking when they post something so useful. Are the lonely and just looking for someone to respond to them?

Slowly getting updates from our Director; Enterprise Markets will return 3 days a week for managers that are currently assigned to Atlanta or Dallas as well as remaining hubs first week of September. All others who are TW or not assigned to a hub will required an exception to granted which is only going to be 10% so most look at risk for letters while a hand full have already received notice two weeks ago. So if you are not in one of the hand full of sites designated, it is going to be very difficult wait. If you are not in a hub already there is no point in moving as you may either get a letter or given an exception is what it is starting to look like. Notice the lack of communications from our 3, 4 and 5th Level? New month and nada about anything really. Just got a email about contingency and another about a lease roll, what is the point of those and do I bother was my thinking. I am ok either way with what happens as I do not think I could deal with the constant layoffs other have written about in their many years at T. Many of y'all are made of Iron to put up with all this nonsense.

Told 5X a month when? Pretty much though the RTO announced in recent weeks was 3-5 a week for everyone across all locations/orgs unless exception. So there are no blanket statements. I concur that posters need to start including location, or at least org since the RTO/hub consolidation isn't affecting everyone the same.

Oldest trick in the book… bait and switch. It’s a VP showing leadership, look what I can do.

Fake news. Our leadership would NEVER do that to the hard-working men and women of T!

It would probably be helpful to include the organization you are in with this type of post.

Remember: the object isn’t collaboration; it’s reducing headcount.
