Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Let the closures begin

Poor performing locations are getting a HARD look, is it worth the cost to keep them open if the staff and management can’t drive business? Gone are the days of BAU, it’s cutthroat now. Is your branch safe?

Branches are the only edge US Bank has over the other banks. They can walk in and be helped. Other banks are losing clients when they can't get help them when they need it. Remember when Chase tried by laying off people, installed atms in their stead, then cut their branch hours? They hired back there employees they could and extended their hours.

Haven’t been into a branch location in years and doubt they have enough traffic to support the majority of locations.

In my suburban home town, we have ten to twelve bank branches. All the usual suspects. Doesn't seem that this is necessary. My last home loan was all handled by emails and phone calls. Last car loan at the dealership. I have not been in a bank branch in years. Can't think of a reason to go inside. ATM is outside. I would never take financial advice from anyone in a bank branch.

Old school managers are out, if you’re not about the up and coming, stand aside and let the train go on by
