Intel used to have a website that made it easy to tell how many people they laid off. It was the phonebook intranet site. It was updated every month and you could see graphs of blue and green badge count by site, country, geography, etc. I don't think it's been maintained since about 2017, but it still kinda worked for a while. I'm sure it was replaced with something painfully slow and designed for monkeys using tiny smartphone screens like Workday.

HC increased between Q1 2022 and Q1 2023...
It is shameful Intel got the employees all worried and then didn't actually cut many heads at all..
The worst pain is yet to come. $3B in losses in Q1... somebody is going to be fired.. in fact lots and lots of people... 20 - 30,000 more.
Maybe 7 or 8 thousand.
Rough estimate..
About 1000 people/month since November '22.
Most of the managers, TAs, PEs, and Fellows are either doing mininum or nothing. Those are the ones should be fired first. They're consuming and getting big fat paycheck.
No fat-shaming please.
Intel is so fat and supersized compared to any of its competitors individually or jointly.
Need another 40,000 or so for Intel to be right sized.
Number of employees is part of the quarterly financial reports. Contract employees is not part of this count.
Too many ICs, not enough managers.
Not enough….
