Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Bleed blue

When Pat first took the CEO role, he mentioned that a number of former employees were “really excited” to come back to Intel.

How’s that going?

Is there still (in Pat’s own words) an “irrational” level of excitement. Do these people still “bleed blue” after the stock debacle, pay cuts and a culture of mediocrity?

If the stock doesn’t get better after three years, you’ve potentially wasted the opportunity of stock appreciation at another company.

I came back after 7 years. Not hating this, because all the stock I got when I got hired and from this review period is cheap as he-l. And if it doesn’t get better in three years, I’ll leave again. shrug

Here’s a counter point to Pats enthusiasm. I would never go back to work for Intel/He-l. Several recruiters have called and I tell them all: Not for high six figures with a million dollar hire bonus. NEVER EVER again.

We'll see what happens when the head cuts get going in earnest... Losing 30,000 workers will put some kind of damper on all that 'irrational' exuberance...
