I wonder if there will be any opportunities to move to any new positions supported by these CoE's when the axe comes down? I live in one of these cities and am under Legg but not the SVP/VP listed. I need another ~10 months to get to the Rules of 75 and would like to meet that if at all possible but realize this wouldn't be a stable, long-term solution.

The center of excellence is the most incompetent group. Outsource all of that.

Do you have to pay daily rent for the desk and chair you use also when you go into the office?

Do employees have to pay for parking in Atlanta? I may do the relocation and would like to add this as a factor for my decision. Every company I've ever worked for paid for parking when it was necessary. If we have to pay, how much is it?

AT&T has garages and the end of the MARTA lines in Atlanta. Whenever I went to mid-town, I parked in the AT&T dedicated garage at N. Springs station and the train stop was right inside my building. They have since closed that building but 754 Peachtree is right next door, same stop.

The parking at hub locations in ATL sux. It has for years and will only get worse. You have to pay monthly parking fee for garage access for anything at or around Peachtree downtown and it is awful just trying to get there in the morning and even worse when trying to leave in the afternoon. It was $55/month a few years back. Probably more than that today. Don't know about Lenox Park. Could be better, but really have no idea.

None of the workplace forward stuff is new. It’s been in the works for sometime now. CRE augmenting the hub locations (especially ATL and Dallas) for influx of employees was just one piece. Code updates for the workplace reservation portal and CRELink were deployed only a couple of days prior to Stankey’s RTO comm. The RTO communication was also strategically stalled until after the Q1 employee survey and coverage for obvious reasons as you all know.

Stankey is a slick dicck for sure. No doubt about it. Commercial real estate is massively unstable right now and offloading employee headcount to cease stock erosion, maintain the payout dividend and increase FCF are his and the BOD’s only goals None of this has Jack squat to do with collaboration and never did/does.

Stankey will leave as soon as the stock turns around and FCF meets targets; leaving thousands of employees in turmoil and the business he helped run into the ground with Stephenson in a disgusting shell of itself.

Nothing new. Not the first or last time. AT&T just falls into that long list of companies where executives were risky (irresponsibly risky) and ended up destroying a healthy and growing company and people’s lives for basically no reason.

So I work in one of these listed COE locations-in this particular office building we leased 3 or 4 floors, several years ago we stood up a collaboration shared work-space zone which while very bright, pleasant and modern was rarely used -on a good day maybe 3-5% occupancy. About 3+ months ago I go into the shared work space and all the work stations have been updated with new gear-really nice tech, point being here is that despite what some are posting -this RTO /Hub initiative has been in the works for some time and is not just as others have claimed a John Stankey knee jerk, grasping at straws idea that was presented w/o other senior leaderships knowledge. Not saying this makes the situation any better, but it does appear these COE cities have been on the radar for some time

Those current and former execs, BoD and spouses deserve to lose their in person support coverage. They are the reason why the company is failing today.

Woah! Get the facts people. The Center of Excellence locations only buy you a little extra time. They are not planning to exist after 18-24 months. And the slide specifically said “until the work is moved”, which could mean moved to Dallas/Atlanta or our new Hub in India. No one is safe! Don’t be fooled.

I’ve seen this movie before from IT/Tech Dev/ name the org of the year in Indianapolis. There will be no new hires in these locations. In surpluses they will be first considered. Some may be saved depending on how pro-active VP is in pushing back.

I’m not moving, I’m not training my replacement, and that’s my purpose.

I can’t see McElfresh standing up to Stankey in the same fashion as Legg. Too bad because there are a lot of rock stars in this company and they aren’t in Dallas.

Listen up you other big wigs besides Legg: get off your as--s and declare some other allowable hubs/sites for your folks. If he did you can do it. Show how much you give a sh1t about us. Trust me. You need us to help keep this place afloat.

So basically RTO was overturned. Of course Stanley will not recall his email and never admit wrongdoing. Maybe he will be also quietly removed from his post. Enough is enough.

This doesn’t appear to show SDM/GPM hubs which L3 Exa and Mandy Jones were working on. I think more hubs might emerge

Wow looks like suddenly RTO was revamped. Employees voices were heard or someone got sober after a long period of binge drinking.

This makes lots of sense actually - Legg has been saying for years we need to increase employees in his unit - he wants to shed contractors and replace them with employees in India.

I think there may still be some employees sent packing, but he doesn't want to lose people with skill sets in demand because they don't want to move, but rather remove the folks on with skills easily replaced by an off shore employee

Multiple cities = vacation homes of executives or their buddies. Lol. Let’s see how many more locations are added before Amazon buys us.

Baaahaha! That's the cover for having Executive Support (aka Desktop Support) for Execs and for supporting Legal. Lets see how they migrate all of those to a Hub. Going to be a lot of VERY unhappy current and former Execs, BoD members, spouses of Execs, etc.
