The irony is that the number of people leaving on their own volition is so high in places that layoffs won’t be necessary in some groups. They just aren’t backfilling people. Layoffs won’t be as widespread as initially thought but they’ll still come to some degree.

In my team we reckon there is not long to go now. Other than the obvious fact that SPS has gone t1ts up across the board there is also the gossip, the strange site visits, directors looking nervous, a new CEO and Q3 looming. We are hedging bets on them starting early in July or the more traditional September. My money is on July.
Not today! I look forward to every Friday hoping that I get called into a meeting with HR. So far, no joy.
