Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Favorite Worker

The amount of favoritism that is going on in our club is sad. I asked to apply for a member specialist. My manager told me there was no position open and we were over body count for that position. One day
later a team lead stepped down and low and behold a full time position as a specialist is opened for her. I've been here 7 years as a cashier. They do anything they want for WHO they want.

They don't want to lose you as a cashier once your trained, because no one want's to be on a register all day. When you applied you should of applied for a floor job so you can do as others NOTHING!! Believe me you don't want anything to do with a more stressful job.

many years ago we had a guy who was horsing around with a girl out on the floor. They were laughing and pushing each other back and forth. He had turned away from her when she smacked him on the back. Play moved into the edge of anger for a moment. He spun around with his box kn--e in his hand as she was turning away from him. He sliced her bu-t cheek wide open and they hurried her to the hospital to get stiches. He.......was promoted to team lead less than a month later....

We just had an associate I know for a fact point out once if not twice and get promoted to a lead a couple months later 😆 if you know policy and start questioning decisions being made they will undermine and push you to break or coach you to move someone else in your spot l. The thought is by promoting them that will make them more loyal since they owe their position to them and won't question their decisions or intentions. Nepotism. It makes for even more toxic work environment and isn't sustainable. Starts with your GM and goes down they set the standard they can stop it go by the book or fuel it.
