@2agu - Intel fabs are tiny compared to TSMC. Look it up.
Nvidia is very practical.
They used Samsung recently and not TSMC, presumably due to capacity and cost.
By the way, Intel needs VOLUME to fill those big fabs, but Nvidia is only 3% of TSMC (look it up). The massive fixed costs of a fab aren’t going to get paid by GPUs.
Unless they grab the high volume whales ( think mobile phones ), all of this is an exercise in futility.
I bet there is a lot of government pressure for Huang to use Intel.
TMG and IFS and IDM will be the final nail in tie coffin of once great Intel.
Stu can possible compete with TSMC even with government subsidies.

@sft - Correct, and he ended with a 1 to 2 year lag to TSMC, while his minion Sohail ran TD to the ground. TMG is and has been the problem, not the solution.

@qhp - LOL !!! But it was TMG and TD that brought us that glorious achievement called 10nm !!! 'member? The one that delayed and knee-capped a whole generation of products?
TMG also produced the $hitty and corrupt credit-taking, finger-pointing culture that has now spread like a cancer throughout the company, championed during BK's reign, who guess what? Also came from TMG. As a matter of fact products were competitive and being delivered mostly on-time when PSO was CEO. So don't come here and re-write history.

intels sh-t product development has nothing to do with its fabs .
he-l , intel doesn't produce the machines that make the chips .
its a total different story for the fabs . if you have the latest and greatest euv litho machines you're good .
btw as far as i know all intel stand alone gpu's are made by tsmc .
don't mix sh---y chip design and products with manufacturing ability.
Jensen is smart enough not to risk the prestige (and market cap) that Nvidia has achieved by selling late and defective Intel-fabbed GPUs.

It will more than likely happen. Intel is in a transitional period, some of the cliques will disappear.
