Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

DC Trucks

So, are you experiencing less DC trucks? Sams is not ordering alot ofvproduct right now because somethings brewing about selling or merging with another company. I work at home office and overheard the big guys in the next room. Lots of changes for 2024.

Fact !!!! Top sales Sam’s Club grocery side steel more that 50% empty !!!! Never have seen this except during covid …. When you COULD NOT get freight DUE to shut down . Lieing is against company policy so you are not hearing anything to what or why this is happening . No truth be told. Walmart likes to flex their power and use their buy in large bulk and save,(truck load after truck load)this is pasted on to the customers as well. We have always had back up freight more than needed and many things that didn’t move take up space and never got transferred out either. But to run this low on freight , something is up and definitely not the normal !!!! Ask questions and see what inconsistent answers everyone will get !!! Covid was the fact ( truth last time) , how about this time ???

This is COMPLETE bs. DCs have been heavy lately, exactly the opposite of what the original poster is saying. Sales are growing, not shrinking. Putting a post like this is irresponsible. You don't work at home office, you did hear anyone talking in the next office. I'm not fond of a lot of things that this company does...an lieing is one of them. Don't be like them, be better.

DC trucks slow down after Memorial Day. It will start to pick up again in July when Christmas stuff starts coming in. Nothing new.

I heard that Walmart Inc wants all Sam's Clubs to become distribution centers. The 60 clubs closed were to start the process and to keep a low profile so Amazon does not overtake Walmart.

They need to do something because we cannot handle all of the dc trucks( 3-4 a day) on top of 3-4 Pepsi trucks, 7 trucks of members mark water, 5 nestle water trucks 2 Georgia pacific trucks, 63 pallets of proctor and gamble, 7-up, Red Bull, green circle, Morton salt, 2 potting soil trucks(24 pallets per truck), ice, vendors and everything else that just decides to show up out of the blue per week. With no 3rd shift and no where to put merchandise because steel is packed. It’s out of control, and we are not allowed to block any time slots on the receiving scheduler so some days when there is only 1 person we get fu----g pounded.
