Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Please do tell how rush goes

All the newbies, the lack of staff, the clueless, overworked course materials people, the over extended market managers. I’d like to hear how this goes.

I was told the Store Team Lead would have to deal with the issues on book orders done wrong, late orders, and any faculty challenges.

My guess, it will go as smoothly as graduation and rental check in. If they are able to hire, you really think people will be trained well enough to handle the cr-p that happens during rush??? The marketing managers won't have time, they will be busy running stores that have no employees.
CM managers? Should we pass along your phone number for every professor that freaks out about their book?

The last veteran employee is leaving my old store in 2 weeks. They are completely screwed. LOL

Stopped by the old store today and was overwhelmed by the amount of work one person must do to keep the store open. Regalia returns, interstore transfers, phone calls about rental turns missed, and then the MOS of over one thousand texts. Did I forget the foot traffic and customer service? Thinking out side the box is difficult when the door to the box is blocked by incoming texts for summer term. Define creativity when only one body is involved.
