For management not within 50 mile residence address of the sacred 9 core/hub sites. Around June 30th, u gonna get a registered or overnight letter in mail from hr. Letter gonna tell u if u have a job or not, and if u don't have a job, the effective date/severance info. If u do have a job, it will be totally contingent on u showing up at x site by y date, to have that job. If u don't show up then, u terminated, with info provided in same letter about fire date and severance. For those who question this post, ask yourself, what doesn't make sense about this process i'm telling ya here, and do u really think this company can safely function much longer without this very info i'm stating here being sent directly to every impacted person, with confirmed delivery? Even these boneheads in charge know this all gotta end soon and real clearly for everybody, or some bad stuff could happen by some bad actors here and there (and I'm not talking about Harry styles, and i'm no such bad actor myself either). Just turn on the news and behold some really bad apples of every sort.

Jive talker OP, I'm a directly impacted manager and if I get a letter like you say, with the info you say it will, around the date you say, I'll then really think you are a high level att exec who is just writing jive to cover your identity. But if it doesn't happen this way, you're just another id--t clueless liar spreading fake info on this board. Yes, we'll see.
How do you know you are impacted? Just because you live outside the core locations does not automatically mean you are impacted. Your role and its possible relocation is what will determine if you are impacted. The same is true for anyone in a core location. Being in a core location right now does not make you safe. Your role could be consolidated to a different core city.
The hubs are New York, Chicago, Charlotte, San Diego, San Antonio, Miami, Mexico City, Little Rock, and Mumbai.
I hope I get Mumbai!!!!!!
Nobody is going to waste money for a registered letter , when your number is drawn you'll get a call.
So much BS on here!
well, thats normally true. right now its not.
people are reporting what their manager told them. what was reported in a townhall.
So there is a lot true information on here.
people like you should be apologizing cause you called bs when the true core sites impact of RTO was posed on here.
whether we get a letter or an email isn't particularly important.
but it wouldn't surprise me to get a letter.
The hubs are New York, Chicago, Charlotte, San Diego, San Antonio, Miami, Mexico City, Little Rock, and Mumbai.
"So much BS on here!"
Well yeah, it's because no one actually knows any details yet. We just get a bit of info here and there, and most of it is just guessing at this point. Some are straight up making junk up too, especially those that want to always be negative. I get it, they feel betrayed, most of us do, but just telling everyone how we will all be screwed is not productive.
What are the 9 hub locations?

Letters! Now that's funny. Your work location will be selected for you and WebPhone will get updated by an ePCR via your BU HRBP. You will receive a communication (email) with your selected location along with those required days assigned. Yes, there will be reports (office metrics) to show your badge swipes for those assigned days + VPN activity.
"Our group was told that everyone will be told what their work location will be on June 30, or by June 30. I believe at least that part."
I was almost believing the OP but I am leaning toward this. There have already been a few reports of folks being "told" and this is what the email said.
All I know is that whatever I get told, I am going to want it in writing
When I was surplussed as a digital technician a fedex envelope requiring signature was sent to my house. Also when I accepted the 50 grand plus Sipp years later during covid a fedex envelope was delivered to my house. They may send managers a fedex envelope for notification of hub report date. The managers that are staying don’t have time to listen to the winers forced out.
They're not sending any physical letters come on lol
Writing skill of the original poster is so awful. Are you one of those foreigners that AT&T employed to replace us?
No one is mailing letters to employees. Each org is making their decisions, assigning locations, and will communicate directly to employees. Get a grip people.
"It started with people initially assuming that it wasn't such a big deal"
I admit, when I first started hearing about it, I assumed it meant the people who were working at the office before the pandemic, and for those who were always remote it meant nothing would be changing. On a town hall this morning someone said he knows there are people that always worked remotely and have never even been in an office. Well yeah, some of us were hired for these remote positions in areas with no offices and have been working like this for years. So that escalated quickly.
I'm skeptical that this cheap company will pay for thousands of registered letters. I'm also wondering how AT&T will be able to pay severance with no cash flow.
It's amazing how the RTO policy announcement has unfolded like a slow moving train wreck. It started with people initially assuming that it wasn't such a big deal, but then a gradual, slow and dark realization that it was a massive bo-b that had exploded and upended lives all across the company.
I feel for everyone impacted.
Our group was told that everyone will be told what their work location will be on June 30, or by June 30. I believe at least that part.
Hey there, cool daddy-o, let me drop some jive wisdom your way. It's time to take a chill pill and cool your jets, my man. I gotta let you in on a little secret: there's a whole world out there beyond the realm of AT&T, dig?
I get it, you've been ridin' that corporate wave for a while, but it's time to broaden your horizon, ya feel me? Life's got so much more to offer than just the nine-to-five grind. Shake things up and let your spirit soar, brother.
Now, I ain't here to judge, but let me drop a reality check on ya. Your severance may come with a hefty sum, but consider this: investin' it wisely could bring you far more groovy adventures than a stash of dope ever could. Open your mind to new possibilities, my friend.
So take a step back, reassess your groove, and embrace the unknown. Explore new paths, find your passion, and let the world unfold before you. Trust me, the journey is worth it. Stay fly and keep your mind sharp. Peace, love, and good vibes, baby!
Hey cat, listen up and groove to this jive talkin'. Now, I hate to be a bring-down, but I gotta lay it on ya straight. You've been sailin' on some seriously trippy tides, my friend. It's like you're livin' in a dream world, see?
Now, I'm no square, but I gotta tell ya, you've been puffin' on that herb a little too hard. You're cruisin' on a one-way street to a brain cell shortage, dig? It's time to put down the dope and reconnect with reality, ya feel me?
I'm not knockin' your vibe, man, but it's time to find some balance. Ease off that chronic cloud and let your mind catch a breath. You'll be amazed at what clarity can bring, my groovy friend.
So take a step back, reassess the situation, and let your mind find its natural rhythm once again. You've got a whole lotta potential, and it's time to unleash it. Stay cool, my hep cat, and let the smoke clear from your mind. Peace out!
Excuse me dear readers. I'm a literary expert, a Harvard graduate in English composition and a master of the language. I've been monitorIng these posts, and I can definitively say the "jive talker" in question is obviously fake jiving, and is most likely an over-privileged and highly paid AT&T executive at EVP level or above. Likely a former college football player, who is an athletic male who cross-dresses on weekends and enjoys wearing stilettos. Be on the lookout for this individual at the very highest levels of your company. Thank you for your time.
Put the crack pipe down.
Listen up mother suckas, I already done got a job lined up as snoop dog's new Doobie roller, at six figures pay plus free weed all day. Mic drop. Bo-m!
To "yes I have seen it before". Really, u done seen this co. tell every manager in the USA that they r only operating natl support roles from 9 sites and they gotta move or be fired? To the tune of maybe 15k jobs? Tell me att history dude, what exact year did u see that go down that way? And did att owe $157 bazillion at that time?
BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!
Hey OP are you going to send that clarification to all impacted? Go ahead seems your imagination is bigger than Stanley’s.
Except that’s not how it works. This is not the first time they have forced relocations to keep the job. We have been told directly from our VP that we will receive a collar from our manager by the end of the month with our Work location or dates are options etc. this has been reiterated to us time and time again in the past week. Maybe stop making cr-p up.
OP is hallucinating. Too much mushrooms for dinner.
Airplane! Such a great movie.
Excuse me stewardess, I speak jive.
This “thang” ain’t way different. Yes, I have seen it before.
Totally made up by a used car salesman
Makes sense to me. To add to this, I'm expecting those that want to get severance if they don't move, they won't get till the end of the year to take advantage of it. I expect it will be "take it now and go..." or "try to move and keep your job, but if you fail to show up by a specific date, you're gone with no severance". If that's the case, I''m taking it now.
Sounds like complete conjecture. I’ve never seen it handled like this in the past, so I question it. Also, I question your command of the English language, or whether you even work for AT&T. God help us if we really hired anyone that doesn’t know that “u” is not a work.
