Opening a new office right after having historically layoffs for the company is tone deaf of leadership. They already mentioned to the market it was lapse in judgement to over hire. Is it a lapse in judgement to open a new office? What about forcing employees to leave, because they moved and are now remote?

This will come back to bite F5. Yes, the engineering teams will be lower cost in India with more resources to pump out more code, but the Agile principle of co-location with the business is being overlooked. Marketing, Sales, Support... can't move those to India and sure as heck can't get engineers on the other side of globe to get the full context of what the business wants. Whether they are in Singapore or Bangalore... better when it's next door.
Here is where your cut bonus goes: https://hr.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/industry/f5-opens-its-2nd-engineering-centre-in-india-to-generate-250-jobs/100434099
They have just announced a 50% bonus cut in EMEA. Many big corporations are moving to India, where they can employ many more folks for the money they need to pay an engineer in London, LA or Seattle. Remember to be selfish, learn and keep your skills sharp. You are the CEO of your career!
F5 currently has 3 offices in Bengaluru, 2 from recent acquisitions. Consolidating everyone into one location is a responsible business decision.
