Is it true a few UK staff were given terminations for misconduct in the last 12 months?

- - this has been noted by the senior management and this will be shutdown with the new Sherif in town.
Misconduct they should be fired on the spot! It's not worth talking about!
Someone kicked a hornet'a nest on BAE a while back but other than that I don't know.
@1zry+1mN07G7r - you are bang on mate. There are many people who found their own way to milk the system (overtime, lieu days, pager pay etc.) and are happy to continue. The rest of the hard working guys don't get anything.
Working in DXC as a manger is hard work. You have no control over your team. They know pretty well that you cannot give them a raise, career progression or bonus. Your recommendations (i.e. if anyone asks you in the first place) won't be worth the paper those are written on.
Without any reward leverage, your ability to ask the team to perform is severely compromised.
Your authority as a manager is non existent.
People can and do simply as you to self fo------e, as they know you are a toothless tiger and cannot do diddly scut.
When they do resign, they just walk off without any handover, because , guess what, you have even lesser leverage on a departing employee.
All in all, if you think you are having a hard time as a techie (extra workload, no overtime etc), the managers are no better off, possibly worse.
It suits the C-suite obviously to play the managers against the teams (old school divide and rule), but the reality is, we are all on the same (sinking) boat.
Just a drop in the ocean compared to leavers and managers doing misappropriation of funds ..
Surprise this Company is still going cannot wait to get another job and leave ..
employees getting oncall and never being on call
Some getting shift pay and never being on shift (as it is easier to get approved )
It is crazy
Probably, but that’s not specific to UK or DXC. Happens in every company in every country.
