Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T vs T-Mobile

T-Mobile is running circles around AT&T. It’s already $50 Billon ahead of AT&T in market cap. Stankey is prepping to company for sale so he can get his change in control bonus!!

Last year I moved our 5 line plan from T to T-Mobile. Even with our discounts I now have a lower bill, no administrative fees, free Netflix, free AAA membership, and free Apple+ TV from T-Mobile. After converting my iPhone when back home I ran a speed test. with AT&T I typically saw about 60Mbps download which is fine for everything I need to do. I was however was amazed to see just over 1Gbps with my first speed test on T-Mobile. I live in a rural area and this is the first time I saw anything approaching GiG speeds. I have encouraged family and friends to switch and everyone I know absolutely loves T-Mobile services. Hard to compete when we have a gold plated tricycle when our competition has Ferrari service.

I'm a Central Office tech, and all I know is that I've fibered up seven or eight 10 gig circuits to feed T-Mobile towers in my area, and we are a smaller city. I have fibered ZERO circuits for AT&T, much less any 5G or millimeter wave or whatever we are calling our cell service today. I literally get zero bars at my house, and I live in town. I might consider moving over to T-mobile as soon as these towers are up and running next month

Cheaper for T-Mobile to just let us lose all our customers to them. Obviously

Who is going to buy this disaster? The government won’t allow t-mo to buy it. They’d bail out T before they went bankrupt.

All of this is a short term fix to make sure he isn’t embarrassed on the next earnings call like he was on the last one.
