Got away today but I'm done

So many professional and decent people caught up in this. It's unacceptable. I am done. CV sent.

"Very dedicated capable long time employees were let go."
Is not a lesson in it? Better use that talent to water your own tree. At least you will own a tree. Forgot the good old adage of "minding your own business" ?

I do not think the company cares very much about employees. MS was an investment bank turned wirehouse over the years. They still have the Investment bank feel. They believe everyone is replaceable and care very little about company moral. They preach the code of conduct and having ethics, but the company never practices what it preaches. They tell people to be innovative and think like business owners to promote ideas and change, but they disincentivize employees and never listen. The company only wants change when they see fit. Middle management is clueless and so disconnected.

some people consider it unacceptable to do mass cuts for the sole purpose of cost savings to an already highly profitable org. This is not an institution that's in danger of losing money but it makes shareholders or mgmt happy for a day or two and helps senior mgmt keep multi million dollar comp. Unless your part of that group, may want to rethink who your sticking up for or why.

What is unacceptable? It is employment by mutual consent
