Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

That is not particularly satisfactory

I think that everyone should only work as much as they are paid in this company that does not value employees no matter how good they are.
However, is that really satisfactory and good strategy long term?
I no longer want to work at a place where I will stagnate and will not make additional efforts that will be adequately compensated.

Modern workplace is a joke, DXC doesn’t use it and are bringing people back into the office because it doesn’t work30

if you no longer want to work at DXC then leave ! No one except the executive team and a few directors are ever going to get a pay increase.

I left in January and couldn’t be happier

Here is a suggestion, for those who are still planning to leave.
Work to rule, work only as much as you are paid for, adjusted for inflation
Use the remaining time to brush up your knowledge/learn new and in-demand stuff.
There are PLENTY of resources available nowadays to do it if you really want to... UDEMY, PluralSight, EdX... just to name a few.
Believe me, getting away is not as diffucult as you might think it is, and far more rewarding than what you can imagine. Money apart, the peace of mind knowing that you are now working for a company that actually does not see you merely as a "cost", and is interested in investing in you and takes care of your mental and phsycal well being is worth the effort.
Give it a try.
You might surprise yourself.
Guess what, the story this year (when it comes to raises) has been exactly the same as the past 5 years (10 if you are legacy CSC)... and not likely to be different next year or the year after.

Rather than waste your own time working slow, why not move elsewhere. Iam tracking people moving all the time, trying new companies, seeing if they like it - and if not, moving on again. Seems a shame to waste away in the Sam place

Keep taking those purple pills. "Modern" workplace the 2nd worst performing business in DXC after cloud and legacy ITO. Shrinking at 10% a year.

I wonder how long leadership think their actions will not have no consequences?

I left DXC a year ago. I agree with the people who want to limit their work; however, if you cut back too much then you are only hurting yourself. This did not seem like a good longer term strategy for me personally. So, I left.
