I cannot understate how important it is to tank the pulse survey. If you are worried don’t leave comments just rate low. They do matter and hits all on top with their payout NOT OURS! Month over month they will start to have to address to the Board!

Are we talking about the monthly digital pulse survey here? I see some posts here about dinging their direct managers using the survey. The pulse survey that I fill out each month is a very short survey about what I like about my job and what not and my overall rating of the company.
I had a boss one time threaten us with more work if we gave him a bad pulse rating. He said because then management would have to create focus groups and other efforts to address whatever you dinged them on.
You drank the koolaid if you think they only query the backend of pulse if a post isn’t threatening or dangerous. They can query the backend because it’s Tuesday and attrition numbers haven’t materialized yet. They can find out what you posted to pulse for any reason. I’ve seen it done. Nothing done on the USAA network, using USAA devices and USAA systems is confidential. NOTHING! There’s even a disclaimer that tells you that you have zero right to privacy and anything you do on the USAA network can be monitored and recorded. It’s on the log in screen, and it’s not there by accident. It’s a warning and a CYA for when you’re in HR crying because they told you it was confidential.
It is just like EJS was. It is confidential but not completely anonymous,. They CAN find out who submitted stuff but only go looking if it's threatening or dangerous. Keep it professional but accurate and you'll be fine.
Can any people leaders confirm whether pulse is really anonymous? I am worried about retaliation.
They will find you and you will be targeted. Pulse isn’t confidential.
The secret rite of passage to become a director at USAA is to print out actual Pulse surveys and use them for toilet paper.
Scores are already at historic lows.
Participation is is around 30%.
Low scores is what is driving RTO. To improve culture. It’s d-mb logic. But it is what it is.
From what I recall, the survey is worded in a way that has you comment on immediate supervisor. I liked him, I just hated the direction the company was going. If I gave a 1, my manager would likely have been thrashed. And also if your team scores low, get ready for extra action planning chores.
pulse is nothing...it is those stupid Forbes, INC magazine, outside rankings they like to yeehaw at the townhalls that employees lube and love the work place.
Would it be better to boycott? Wouldn’t they be mad about low participation? I don’t think they even deserve a 1 rating.
Yes, they definitely plan for low scores this month. But OP is right. Sustained low scores will be cause for concern. The addition of employee satisfaction on the scorecard does not impact employee bonuses, but it does give us a level of transparency we have been begging for. When scores are in the absolute toilet in the fall, and into winter, and they have to publicly report on those scores, we may see some changes. ✨️May.✨️ Yes, it's idealistic to think things will change, but this metric on the scorecard, amidst the dumpster fire, is actually a huge win that we'd be stupid to ignore. Does anyone have insight on how much stock is placed in Glassdoor ratings?
I can confirm that these survey results DO NOT go right into the deleted folder. This IS solid advice! Be honest!
these surveys go right into delete folder 😂😂
Yeah, I voted 1 and left detailed feedback for why I voted that way.
They likely planned for a low score month, though, so we are basically shouting into the void I’m afraid.
