Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Image means more today then employee mental health and loyality

We get our layoff notices from here, and the watered down, poor me big company posts in the media.
The C suite calls it operational cost cutting, while it feels more like an emotional power trip.
Layoff varried numbers every month or so regardless of performance or longevity,
Do more with less or loose your job,
RTO without question or loose your job,
Badge in and out without question or loose your job,
Remote you need to move to advance or quit,
Jump without question or loose your job,
Ask questions but expect no answers,

The stress on employess just keeps being turned up and up, and leadership cares not.
Ask Wayne, Amala, HR, etc when is the last time they worried about the stress of a single income bringing food home, paying child care, keeping the lights on, or deciding to drive to work or pay the rent.
Truly sad to see " Mission First " are now just poster and media fodder.

Wayne is the insurance/financial services equivalent of Oceangate CEO Stockton Rush.

Arrogance, bad decision making, removing anyone that questions him, and in the end innocent people will be screwed by the the id--ts lack of judgement and greed.

Wayne and the EC are very concerned about USAA employees mental health. They currently have security guards posted outside their area because they are concerned about USAA employees mental health.

Wayne will tell you “be bold” to any hard questions. So I’m going to boldly try and do even less work, which is tough at this point.

He knows what he should and could do to clear his name and turn USAA around.

Wayne is steering the ship right into the path of the ice berg, and I guarantee he will jump ship right before it hits, then the interim CEO or the new CEO will be tasked with trying to steer it out of the way, only to realize it’s too late. Wayne walks away with a 7 figure severance, to go along with his almost $5million a year salary and a very comfortable retirement fund he racked up. While the workers who kept USAA afloat will be the ones hoping they can land a job that pays near or at the salary they currently make.
