Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Appreciation From USAA To Employees

Why is that so many USAA employees want to roll over like corporate bootlickers and say, "USAA kept me employed during COVID, so supporting RTO is the least I could do."? USAA employees kept USAA afloat during COVID and did it well in a remote work setup. Many USAA employees need to grow a backbone and stand up for themselves.

They let us work from home during COVID because they had no choice. They had to keep the business running while complying with guidance from the CDC about not packing people together in the same building. Most of corporate America was WFH during COVID.

Anyone saying that is obviously drinking the Kool Aid. We’re a company with billions of reserve funds so they didn’t do us any favors. They would have looked bad laying people off during the pandemic.

Truth!
And had USAA laid people off during covid, with them being classified as an “essential business,” the government would’ve dropped the hammer on them.
