We were told FTO and at least three days in the office. We are staying at our present locations.

" They just told us we have to move to one of eight cities by the end of July. We are not in a sales or field role. They told us this was returning to pre-Covid expectations to be in a hub city but I was never in a hub city so this is BS."

This ^^^^^ BS, and posts like it are a LIE, just trying to get you all worked up. They are not asking nor expecting anyone to move anywhere. Falsehood, made up drivel.

They are doing away with flex office worker classification. That's it. You will need to report to your designated office location a minimum of 3x per week.

Call with our L3 today. There will be no more flex office worker classification. There is just full time office, and tele worker. Office workers will be expected to be in designated office location a minimum 3x per week, and compliance will be monitored. No mention of relocating anyone to "hub locations" or anything like that.

Sounds like a way to layoff without severance.”

How did you learn about this? Was it a call you were on? Did you get an official email?

“All good. 9-5 going forward then. No more extended hours for me. Also, I’ll go back to taking lunch breaks again”
Assuming you mean 8-5 but maybe you have been calling that an extended day all along.

"All good. 9-5 going forward then. No more extended hours for me. Also, I’ll go back to taking lunch breaks again. I tolerate the extended work since I can work from home, but if I have to drive in and sit in an office, yeah no more. 9-5 and I’ll take lunch breaks."

Absolutely. I have ignored boundaries for three years because we had a great setup. If I'm going to have to drive an hour each way in traffic, those boundaries are coming back.

We just got told today we have to move to Dallas, Atlanta, or a handful of other hub cities by end of July or we are off payroll.

Not new news folks. They have been heading in this direction since Q2 last year. Inevitable.

My boss said something about it this morning, but didn't provide details; just said there will an email later today. RTO would be pretty stupid for me, since they surplused my local team & coworkers. Am I supposed to return to the office to sit in an empty room, and collaborate with myself? /s

Stankey promised restaurants and bars in downtown Dallas and Atlanta he would assist in returning lunch business to pre-pandemic levels. He will try to keep that promise.
He may think he has the last word on telecommuting, but he doesn't.
The VP's will simply water down Stankey's RTO policy, to protect and reward their good performers.

I’d heard 4x per week of you report to a hub and 3x per week for all other office locations. Hub locations are far more centralized, larger and more expansive office spaces. Leadership located in those as well so they see the rationale behind keeping them occupied.

I heard he is planning to hold his razor during the announcement like he did in the Christmas video a while back.

RTO policy by Stankey doesn't matter. VP''s will not enforce policy, just do what feels right. There are no consequences for disobedience. I love this place, VP's think Stanley's RTO policy is just a general guideline, they can and will apply their own watered down version of Stankey's RTO policy!
