What are we missing? Any firsthand knowledge of transformation that can be a game changer?

Local LSP here have many calls from direct sales customers. A ten year 250/500 State Farm client was written 25/50. Another was written no collision and finance dept at dealer missed it. I corrected both before any losses. The desperation of the calls wanting a real person is sad. My EA heard me helping one of these. He let it go but I know what he was thinking. I think this is a mess. So many don’t add comp with glass , just comp. Another direct sales LSP called me to try to transfer the client because she didn’t know allstate doesn’t write home on allstate paper AFTER she spent a half hour completing the home quote on advisor pro. It declines at the end. I asked her did you really just spend your time doing a home quote with the customer? Yes
Glass half full, let's see. You know that things aren't rosy. You know that things will change. Which means you have advance notice to build your skillset to land a better position elsewhere. You were looking for a job when you started here, right? So what's stopping you from finding a better position somewhere else? You've been granted an opportunity of advance notice that your time with the company may be limited, even though you don't know the end date; which is much better than a kick in the shorts as you walk out the door some unexpected afternoon. Get after it, make yourself more valuable in the time you've got and land that spot that gets you a 20% or more raise. Life gets easier when you realize no one is coming to save you.
They have to keep reassuring the agency force that there is a place for them going forward because the map is so foggy on where they are heading... The agents aren't sure if they should stay, but they still generate 80% of the revenue, have a loss ratio that is 24 points lower than the direct channels, and a retention that is 41% better than direct. They need the agents, but treat them like they want them gone, and because actions speak volumes, have to keep saying they love the agents over and over... but their actions don't match, so they have to say it again, and again.
Corporate stooge....
We don't even know all the points to the transformation... It could be good... but without knowing the direction they are heading.... it is impossible to know!!!
How can the glass be "half full" when the glass has been shattered to bits?
Tom Wilson is a wonderful man and great leader for this iconic company. These posts are designed to scare people. Pfffft. There’s your glass full of good cheer!
No. The company is outsourcing every department they can in waves. You will probably have job security a couple of years if you get transferred. However, what do you think will happen when the workers from Mexico or India that make a fraction of what you make can do the same job? They will let you go to save money
What an interesting post...transformative growth as been such a life altering experience that it causes one to go elsewhere for bigger and better things. That's a glass totally full buster. Allstate is completely empty now.
All jobs headed overseas
