Thread regarding CVS layoffs

District Leaders are jokes

I work in a state between Florida ad Mississippi . We complained for over 5 years that the district leaders were all pharmacists and did not have a clue .well that’s all changed and it has back fired. Our fs field leaders are id--ts and the emerging leaders are even worse . Do other regions have same problems ?

Rush is a true POS. He promoted a horrible manager who had previously quit (right before inventory, leaving his store in shambles). It was so bad I was on a team of managers put together to clean up Chris' store in Knoxville Tn after it was ran into the ground. Chris came back and Rush promoted this guy to FS field leader.

Rush also told me once "it doesn't pay to take care of your team, they will work regardless"

With that attitude and lack of insight, I'm sure he is an AVP by now knowing CVS.

See what I mean - the DLs in A are worse than the worst managers - there is 4 DLs on rx side that are awesome - but fs is BADDDD

As a DL, IDGAF. Just want my bonus and my salary and I’ll hire people like it’s nothing and replace them faster then they leave

A true leader fights for the people underneath them. A true leader stands up for their teams. Most CVS DL's are just kool-aid drinking yes people, who rule over their teams with fear, threats, and intimidation. No wonder things are so bad. The very people who are supposed to have your back, only fight for corporate.

DLs became incompetent once the first round of project patriot DLs burned out. The ELs have no talent, just brown nosing robots. Don't take my word for it, look at the stock price.

They blame their superior because they should set the tone. As a DL your job is to receive raw results, company direction, and direct feedback and filter it back to the employees below them. It’s the DLs responsibility to ensure that they adapt their message to fit each specific store, team, and overall age of the team. If a DL isn’t able to do that, they are NOT doing their job. Instead the DLs want to take short cuts and make abrupt calls or shoot off a snarky email instead of showing up at a store and making a difference. Acknowledge the struggles, don’t just project and blame it on the store team. The company is responsible for providing the tools.

Well, in a sense I feel bad for DLs, they have to babysit bad performance from PMs, staff rphs and are also under pressure from above. I am sure that if a store is performing well that store won’t hear much from the DL. Why do everyone tends to blame whoever is your superior. Look at your performance and see if that’s good. Otherwise look into other grass (companies) and you will find out that what you have now is not bad afterall. I refer to YOU including myself btw
