Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

What happens when PCG becomes PCS

So what happens to the PCG employees when we are sold and become PCS?

Supposed to happen in 3rd Qtr and our managers are telling us they know nothing except the very top management?

What will happen with Claims?

Rumor has it that an outside firm like Sedgwick will take over.

What happens to the AIG claims stay?

Kicked to the side of the road like trash?

Offered a rif?

Middle management says they know nothing…..

Any ideas?

Yup, it is official, PCG is history and Claims is being assimilated by Sedgwick…….another one of the companies funded by the same folks that Pirate Pete sold PCG to…..and made lots of Money for his Coffers

AIG CEO - Produce nothing and leave with $100,000,000+ after 5 years.

AIG employee - Deliver results for 20+ years and you get the silent treatment for 4 months before you get the axe.

This is the AIG way.

Unfortunately, the 1st response to the post is pretty much what I thought but want to get some feedback so I was not being a doom and bloomer, but, yes, the poster, I believe, is spot on

Best of luck to all

"Kathleen the Great" went on a national call and proclaimed that we would be told by end of February. That date came and went and it has been dead silence since. Just another lie in a long list. This has left employees in the dark on their future for almost 4 months and is probably the most dysfunctional thing I have ever seen a company do to its staff. It shows a lack of understanding and common decency. Over the last 4 months production and moral have nose dived and there has been an exodus of talent.

What's left is a broken company with broken management and pi---d off employees. If Stone Point wants a chance to make this work they should clean house from the top day one. There isn't an ounce of respect left for PCG upper management at any level in this organization.

As mentioned, SP has Segwick so claims is probably toast unless you want to work for their TPA. The rest of the PCG staff will probably be part of a selection process where favorites are kept and tenured staff is shown the door to reduce overhead. The big question and really the only important question at this point to most is will severance be offered or will AIG find a way to give employees a final punch to the gut before they leave?
