Even if he did fiddle the books, not saying he did, it still didn't justify the squillions HP paid for Autonomy, at least $6billion of the write down was HP's own stupidity. Have to say the Autonomy lot were the most unprofessional chancers I ever met in my entire IT career, if anyone below C-level execs had been asked we would have told them to avoid like the plague, it was clearly vapour-ware.
Karma is a bittttcccccchhhhhh. We lost 9 billion those days because of this guy and the ceo of the time. Am sure this would give immense pleasure to a lot of HP guys. Now that he is extradited - he should go to Guantanamo.
