Tell Dell: Bring back the VSP

When Tell Dell comes out, tell them to bring back the VSP. Give the 10% that aren’t happy that want to leave an option to leave.

I wouldn’t take the VSP but I wish it would give others the option to leave. I’m sure Dell would love to get rid of another 10%, help the people who want to stay in their jobs.

There is exactly 0 chance of VSP coming back. Why? Well, the last time we did it it cost us some of our very best and most tenured people, a great majority of which we ended up hiring back within a year and waiving clawing back the separation package.

In today’s environment it’s very easy and acceptable for a company to do a workforce reduction. And at the end of the day it cost less.

What is the point of tell Dell if management only want the positive?Nothing changes if they dont hear the truth.
If you get a mail from HR a few weeks later maybe thats a good sign in the longterm if thats the way they want to work.
Life goes on and Dell isnt worth the stress.

Just remember kids, nothing is anonomous. IMO, speak what you feel comfortable in Tell Dell as much as telling your management directly.

Seeing a lot of comments suggesting what to say on Tell Dell. Be careful. Although it's true that Dell leadership can't see who said what, I can assure you Bain & Co can see it, and they are the ones selecting names on the wfr lists these days. This gives Dell plausible deniability when weeding out folks who pull down employee NPS.
