Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I hate all the secrecy

To this day we don't know if all the layoffs that were announced months ago have been completed. We don't know what's coming next and we have no idea if any of us are safe at this point. How does Intel management expect us to be able to concentrate and be productive under these circumstances?

Figuring out the corporate headcount problem is similar to the old mail advertising adage: "I know half of my advertising budget is waisted, I just don't know which one."

transparency around layoffs was never really a thing at Intel... why demoralize people by showing them the real number.

Aside, did you catch Elon interview with Tucker. Tucker asked Elon, 'how are you able to run Twitter with just 20% of the original workforce?' Elon: "Well as it turns out, you don't actually need all of those people..."

My Intel experience tells me you could cut the work force about in half and really not do any damage. Think about that.

The secrecy curtain shall rise on Thursday, April 27th after market close, sharp.

My boss once told me, "I'll start worrying about your job when I'm done worrying about mine."

I hope that puts it in perspective

TMG hasn't made any adjustments yet. So that's the next shoe to drop.

Oh man. Grow up OP. This is how real world gets. Its a little turbulent at times. At times of macro and company uncertainty no company is going to give you the cushy answer that all layoffs are done and everything is alright ...

So the best is to deal with a bit of uncertainty. This is not a government job.

Sorry but it's classified and only on a "need to know" basis.

It will look bad for CHIPS money application if they reveal the actual number of employees laid off.

How about being proactive and just quit. You can’t get laid off if you quit you know.
