You need to provide more information.
Pay is very much job-title specific and overlap between grades is VERY large.
G5 90k base pay and also R&D engineer
I'm g5 base pay is 90k
Jump between each grade (mid-range Tcomp point) is about 20-25%, so you can do the maths.
@tuw That's a good question. Looking at HW Engineer on levels.fyi, I would say the overlap is substantial among Grades 5-7. Grades 8 and above has greater dispersion, as you might expect.

- Grade 5: Entry Level, Total 134K, Base 114K. Stock 12K (every year), Bonus 9K.
- Grade 7, Total 198K, Base 150K, Stock 34K, Bonus 14K.

I believe there is overlap in the pay range between each adjacent grade.
