Thread regarding ViaSat Inc. layoffs

When are we getting our Severance??

I was laid off in Tempe on March 27th with an official separation date of March 31st. I got a 1 week paycheck on March 31st and haven't received anything since. Tomorrow marks 2 weeks since my official separation date. My severance package stated I would be paid within 2 weeks of my separation date yet I haven't received anything and ADP isn't showing anything coming tomorrow. Does anyone know what's going on with our severance pay? Single income over here (wife is a stay at home mom) and I really need to get my pay.

My ADP is showing the severance coming through. Rough glance it's the correct amount (minus taxes of course).

Note to Viasat P&C, two and a half pay periods is a looooong time for severance. Pretty sure you had selected me earlier in March by the way the program manager was directing my work. You could have gotten this money aligned earlier and saved a lot of stress for employees that you may want back some day. Just food for thought.

Hope the job search is going well for everyone. Onward to bigger and better things.

I confirmed by looking through the paperwork, it's the 2nd pay period after term so the 21st I believe.

As I understood it, it was two pay periods. So we should see it next Friday.

I see that USPS is delivering the COBRA paperwork today. My wife's medication is very expensive but it still might be cheaper to stay off COBRA until I find another job. Fun decisions!

All very frustrating. Wish we had universal healthcare like the rest of the first world so layoffs aren't such whiplash.

You can email payroll to see about your status. I was told it will be 2 pay dates after they receive release of claims.

There is a contact email address provided in seperation paperwork. You may want to email them your concern.
