Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Racist comments / employee

There’s someone here who keeps making some weird racist comments.

You’re on the wrong forum. Go to truth social. You can go rant your racists sh-t there in that scary echo chamber of MAGA alt-right freaks.

Additionally, please leave our company. Please. You proclaim that “these Indians” don’t know what it’s like to be American. You clearly don’t know what being an American is. You’re reflecting the laziest and most disgusting stereotype of the “ugly American”.

Finally, you don’t reflect the Mission, nor the values of the members we serve and what they fight for.

That being said, I’m certain this didn’t change your mind and has only embolden you against some crazy conspiracy theory you have about “wokeness”. Thoughts & prayers for you.

Oh stop it with the MAGA for right cr-p. The far left is just as guilty for spewing garbage. Bottom line, just have ethics and common sense.

Chill, site mods scrub this place on a regular basis.
They delete posts containing real names, foul language or personal insults. They also nuke racial and political rants, so his posts always get deleted.
Just downvote the troll and ignore it until his post gets nuked.

People who spew that racist trash I WISH we could still say are ignorant and uneducated. Sadly it’s 2023, and now we are educated and can’t plead ignorance. It’s a choice to be the lowest level of a human being. It takes audacity to then point the finger at claim they aren’t American.

Nothing is more American than inclusivity. We are a melting pot.

Blaming someone’s bad leadership on their nationality is anti-American. It’s fascist.

Those people need therapy. They need to get out of their echo-chambers.

That being said. while you’re on this multi-year journey of discovering what it is to be an American: Resign.

The problem with USAA is they run a bank and treat it as a private company where you can litigate compliance

The way I took this comment is that USAA wants to have its cake and eat it too. Yes, we are a private organization - BUT we are still a Bank. Compliance is required by law, with heavy oversight. This isn’t some retail company that may still need to adhere to PCI or employment laws - but as a private company can litigate every single infraction.

As a bank we need to adhere to compliance. Not operate as a “mom and pop shop” aka private company, where we can fight tooth and nail on every single reg.

THANK YOU! I had started to tune out and get more disgusted with our company as I read all of the hate comments race / nationality.

Makes me proud to see the majority of us are taking a stand against them.

Thumbs up: you reflect the worst: RESIGN

"The problem with USAA is they run a bank and treat it as a private company where you can litigate compliance."

USAA FSB is a private company though, isn't it? I mean, I know USAA's corporate structure is a holding company and a mutual insurance exchange or such. Are you referring to that? In that sense, USAA's bank is a membership organization, which is still a private company, I thought?

I'm not asking about this to be obnoxious or picky. I'm asking because I don't know what you meant about "litigating compliance". Might you explain please? If this is a d-mb question, I apologize.

Agreed! And to the employees making the added comments about IT / CRO / HR leadership and then being up DE&I or being “american” or they only hire people “like them”.

Their race has has nothing to do with the fact they are horrible leaders. Leave the race out of it. You’ll make a much stronger & coherent point.

They are horrible leaders. But to me this goes back to Wayne and bad leadership and bad hiring. This is an issue with issue with USAA not attracting top executive talent.

I worked with great people of all colors at UsAA. The problem with USAA is they run a bank and treat it as a private company where you can litigate compliance.

That never works for banks, but carry on…
