And like others have said the actual number is way higher than 107.
The idea of the WARN act is to give employees 60 days of notice before they are laid off. But employers can still surprise you by just laying you off and then saying your “layoff date” is 60 days later. So this WARN notice is not saying that 107 more workers will be laid off on 6/02; it is saying that the official layoff date of the workers already laid off is in June.
So: it means 107 workers were laid off 60 days before June 02. Which we already know.
Of course, there will likely be more layoffs because of the launch delay, but it is not certain it will happen 6/02.
The number is in excess of 300. WARN has loopholes so that only reflects the CA numbers and likely not inclusive of remote employees or those in other states.
