Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Any other UKleavers seen this policy from Iron Mountain re leftover kit?

Have any fellow UK leavers had a similar sort of email from Iron Mountain regarding collection of gear

"I am contacting you today on behalf of DXC in relation to arranging a collection of your work equipment following your exit from employment with DXC. Are there any other items which are to be provided back to DXC, as I understand there has been a recent update to the DXC offboarding policy to return any DXC Gear products? I.e laptop, desk, chair, laptop equipment (keyboard, mouse, headset)?"

Going to tell them to shove it when it comes to collecting anything but my corp asset as when I left the policy stated they weren't interested in peripherals & furniture. Seems a bit grim they're asking for everything back and suggests the company is looking to claw back as much as it can (even though we all know half of it will end up in a skip and the other half in some Erskine kid's bedroom)

The id--ts at DXC took over 4 months to collect my old gear when they booted me out, even then I had to send the Laptop into HQ using my own $$

A tripe of an organization that is going out -$$ going down again and foolish investors keep on investing of $$ into lost cause - unless you Mikey no 2 collecting $$ millions for bodging up the company.

@2trb+1m5jd4Ys wanting it back a year after they've left DXC though? That's ridiculous!

It wasn’t a gift , so if they ask for it back have them send you a prepaid box (‘s) and return it. Don’t understand what the fuss is about!

I still have some gear that wasn’t asset tagged and wasn’t asked for after I left and if DXC contacts me to return it I will based on my above comment. If they don’t ask , it’s mine !

Tell them to provide a list of Asset Tags, and that they have until 17:30 on your last day of employment to pick them up, else they get disposed of. Simples...

@1yai+1m5jd4Ys I left last year, tried to mail them about what to do with some leftover kit never got a response and was told by the Erskine depot they werent interested in non asset tagged kit

A year later near enough and they start trying to invoice me for the kit they didn't collect so I had to kick off collection

I experienced the exact same scenario, typical of DXC to have policies that don't align to the suppliers they use. It seems to be all about what has been procured through DXC Gear and if its not on the DXC Gear list they wont ask for it back. Awful that Iron Mountain had to be the one to tell me and DXC leadership or HR couldn't give me an answer to if it was factual or not.

I've just re-read the original post... They're asking for this stuff back AFTER you've gone? If so, what a joke! When did you leave?

As someone who recently handed in their notice, I was surprised at this too. Sure, they're entitled to it (imo) but I think it's only recently that they started this.

Also it's been my understanding from other leavers that they had their laptops collected ON their last day, so their last day may be shorter. But now they're collecting laptops AFTER their last day. So DXC still get a full last day from you.

Again, I understand they're entitled to it, but I think it's only recently that they started this.
