Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Feeling exploited…

I'm glad that someone mentioned this problem in one of the threads and it concerns the fact that some of us train employees who are paid more than we are.
I felt terrible when I found out that the person to whom I was trying to show the ropes around here was actually paid more than me… The company doesn't seem to have any problem with this... Unfortunately, the only thing left to do is accept it or leave all of this.

You couldn’t be more wrong. I’m speaking from experience and I’ve undone many wrongs in the last 12 months. Not all, but most!

If you’re willing to back up your talk put a grievance in. Email Louise Kirkbride directly and grow a pair.

If you mention the word grievance and send it to HR leads, I’ll wager you every pound in my bank account you’ll hear with names of the RIGHT people in less than 5 working days.

If you’re going to be wimp with please and Thankyou you’ve got no chance.

DXC was never a Silicon Valley beacon - you would have to go back to HP in its pre-Meg Whitman days to make that sort of claim

Looking at this thread it is open secret how DXC employees are clueless (both technically and internal process guidelines wise). No wonder revenue is declining and customers are dumping us. What a place! Once a beacon of Silicon Valley to where we are today!

Exactly right! Many people think that the company’s HR and Employee Relations departments are there to advocate for the employees. Rather, these departments are there to protect the company and would encourage you to contact them, rather than an outside party such as an attorney.

HR won't help you. Do some research on who HR protects in corporations. Hint: It starts with DXC at DXC.

There are some pretty good Youtubes out there for the rank and file to watch.

You say we are on the same side but you sound more like HR than staff. I've heard there are HR partners but never seen or heard from one and no one can provide a name, if i had a name I'd use it.
So you must work at some rarefied level or some rare functional part of DXC if you have ever got a response from HR.

We're all on the same side here but you clearly dont heed instructions well, or your oblivious to the process.

Do you even know that every service line has 1 or multiple HR partners that look after it? there are people directly responsible with faces, teams accounts that you can speak to whenever you like.

You could email the head of HR too. I bet you will get a response in less than 24 hours.

Any other excuses?

Given HR are hopeless of course I spoke to manager and then their manager before raising HR case. And I'm curious how you can copy in HR as they are faceless, with only route being HR connect

How difficult is it to ring your manager and ask him for median salary and copy HR in?

Or how about asking your managers manager? You do realise most managers are not real managers, they are supervisors and DONT have access to SALMAN.

I thought not. You wont get nothing for sitting on your hands waiting for things to happen. I know people who've got paid, they didnt sit around.

Also ask your manager for the team median pay, not just HR. It doesnt take long for your manager to go into SAL MAN tool to get the median. Infact its a 2 min job.

They used SAL MAN (Salary Manager) when i was a people manager. But with workday it might be different.

Good luck getting median pay for your grade out of HR, yes they will admit they should provide it but I've had an open ticket of ages asking for the actual figure. Also HR have after 6+ years still failed to harmonize the job codes, so the salary bands are very very wide

You have a legal right to know what the market rate is from DXC and the median pay in your team.

Dudes handed the game to you on a plate. If you’re so confident you’re on less pay put a grievance in and watch the bucks miraculously appear.

For a long the bull they gave put is we pay market rate. So your getting the right pay.

Now that the market rate is much higher than DXC Pay, DXC Ignore market rate except for executives who are on higher than market rate, and new starters who are on market rate.

The rest of the employees are getting screwed paid well under the market rate.

Wrong, read up employment laws.

You are entitled to equal pay, otherwise it’s discrimination.

First thing you need to know is what the median salary is that DXC pay for your role. You need to ask HR that. Raise a ticket.

Simultaneously email your manager and request to know the median salary in your team for your role based on your level, and contribution group.

Armed with that information, put a grievance in ASAP.

Remember they will NEVER admit to paying you unfairly. This is the only way or you’ll have to leave.

My mate did this and he got approximately 5k as a hush payment. Ofc DXC won’t admit they’re paying you less on purpose.

Be a sheep or fight back. They can’t do anything to you, otherwise it’ll be considered retaliation and they’ll be even more screwed.
